BIODIVERSITY
We are hoping to run a biodiversity scheme in line with the current OUSU campaign: The OUSU Biodiversity campaign is focussing on habitat patches that will favour our valuable native bees. Bees contribute £165m a year to the British agricultural economy and are important for food security, pollinating a third of everything we eat.
So, we’re aiming to establish a network of ‘nectar beds’ across Oxford. These beds will contain native plants that will provide nectar and pollen from March to November, making Oxford a great place to bee!
